Work in Progress

This site is a work in progress. The goal of this site is to stimulate conversation with the intent of providing tools and perspectives to aid others open to it in their own journeys. While your patience and understanding is requested, this is also an opportunity for you to help shape the effectiveness of the content and delivery of the site. In a sense then, the process of building of this sight has already begun the collaboration of helping one another on our collective journey.

Registering

Site registration can occur by either clicking the turquoise "Register" button to the upper left of the screen or by first clicking the "Login" button then clicking the small "Register" link toward the bottom left of the pop up window.

Registration Passcode Prompt

The field requesting a "Passcode" is in place to receive the registration passcode provided immediately below the field to enter the code. It is not a personal account password. The password to be associated with the account being registered has a field name requesting "Password" rather than "Passcode" and will need to be entered twice. The passcode is a one time event at registration. Your password is used every time you log in. The purpose of the passcode is to prevent nasty bots from creates hundreds or even thousands of logins at a time. It's happened. That's why the passcode is there.

Logging In

The only way to log in after registering is to click the small "Login" button in the upper left of the site.

Logging Out

You can log out either with the Turquoise "Logout" button on the upper left.

Notifications (watches)

Everyone registering to this site is also automatically registered to be notified when a new WeBlog entry is posted. The assumption here is that these readings are the purpose of registering here in the first place and this automatic notification will save everyone the trouble of checking back only to find no post has been made yet.

Unfortunately there is currently no way to unsubscribe from this notification at this time short of closing your site account. Giving site participants the greatest latitude of choice is important. So providing that choice is still something on the todo list to change and falls into that "Work in Progress" bucket mentioned above. If this a problem for anyone please do reach out to me directly (Steve@aJourneyShared.com) and I will find a way to work around this on a case-by-case basis.

Forums

Forums are starting out as the location to ask questions for information not covered in this help page regarding site usage and to make feature/change requests. The intention is, once the basics of the site are settled, and it looks to have become a useful feature, they will be opened up for broader questions and answer discussion by the community. Family, friends and acquaintances can be an excellent resource when we need a little advice. Then, sometimes, it can be easier to anonymously ask the thoughts of others regarding something on our mind. That's the need forum's are hoped to cover down the road.

Additional Help

Questions and comments are currently being handled through a monitored forum via open discussion.
Access to the forum is available after logging in.
